- How is your data collected?
We gather all our data through Alexa, who provides information on the web traffic received by other websites.
- How is a site's share price calculated?
The price of a share is calculated by choosing the greatest value from the 'Reach per million users' category (see example). This will either be today's average, the 1 week average or the 3 months average.
- How are the total number of shares calculated?
The total shares available for a site = 50 * 3 month average reach figure.
- I can't see the graph very well?
When you view a website page on Alexa Share, click the 
button to zoom in (please note: this has only been tested in IE and Mozilla, so please report any bugs on the forum).
- How can I prevent users from buying the same shares as me?
By ticking the 'Keep my portfolio private' box in preferences, no one can see your shares when they view your portfolio (except you of course).
- How private is my portfolio?
Users cannot see any notes you make about a website, and/or if you are watching the website. This protection exists whether your portfolio is private or not.
- I get an error about not finding any site information!?
This error will appear if the website does not exist, or has no data collected by Alexa.
- How do I create a group?
Log in and go to your portfolio. There is a link that says 'create group' at the top.
- How do I stop anyone from joining my group?
When you create a group, tick the 'Join by invitation only' box. This can also be turned on and off by visiting your group page and clicking the 'edit group' button.
- What is the invite user feature?
You can invite a user on Alexa Share to join your group. This allows you to invite only certain users if you make your group private. An image will appear when the user you invited logs into their account, notifying them of your request.
- How do I send someone a message?
Log in to your portfolio and click the link that says 'You have X new messages' to be taken to your inbox. You can then click the write button at the bottom to send a user a message. Alternatively you can view the user's portfolio and click the send message button.
- I can't read the number to buy/sell a share?
You can change which CAPTCHA you want to see in your preferences. You can choose the number or an image.
- Why do some people have symbols by their names?

- How do I get into the hall of fame?
When your portfolio value reaches over $1 billion you will automatically be placed into the hall of fame.
- How do I refer someone?
Log in to your portfolio and copy the link in the orange box on the right hand side. If a user visits Alexa Share through that link and joins (they must activate their account), you will automatically receive $1,000 in your account.
- I found a bug / want a feature on the site!
